Into The Wild

A week after seeing Into The Wild, the true story about Chris Mccandless’ voyage to and in Alaska, I can’t get the story out of my head. So today I went to YouTube to see if there were any extra clips or footage floating around online. What I found was pretty interesting. Below is a clip of one guy’s visit to “the bus” as well as the movie trailer and a 20-20 segment from 1997. You have to see this movie. My advice: don’t read about his story before you see it — it will make it that much more powerful.

1-2-3-me

Ok, maybe it’s my new-found fascination (and career) in marketing, but after noticing that Feist was selected for the latest iPod commercial, on my way into work today I heard her song 1-2-3-4 on my satellite radio. I love it. But I’m not sure if that’s because it is a good song, a cool one-camera video or because I’m intrigued how Apple is now a bona fide star maker through its commercials. Didn’t it also do that with Jet’s Are You Gonna Be My Girl, too? I’m sure it’s happened with other songs as well but those are just the two that stand out.
