Thoughts on a bike

As part of my voluntary restructuring and downsizing program, I’ve been doing spin classes at my gym. It’s a crazy 45-minutes of cycling, bouncing up and down on a bike, and shvitzing. The only way to get through the class, IMHO, is to think about other things to pass the time more quickly. Here’s what I think about while spinning.
- Once this song ends, I’m that much closer to being done.
- Dear god, when is this song going to end?
- Bayes Theorem. Also known as Bayes’ rule or Bayes’ law. The probability of an event A conditional on another event B is generally different from the probability of B conditional on A. However, there is a definite relationship between the two, and Bayes’ theorem is the statement of that relationship.
- The accounting equation. Seriously. Assets = Liabilities plus Owners Equity. I have no idea why I think about that, but on the bike, it all makes sense.
- Why I don’t blog more often.
- How can one human sweat so much?
- Drink, breathe, drink, breathe.
- Hyperconnectivity.
- Booster Juice’s Strawberry Sunshine smoothie. (Quite possibly the best drink ever invented).
- Pad Thai.

All the blessings of success in your downsizing efforts, Bloomie my man. It’s a hard road, but one worth navigating.
