So I phinally got to see phormer Phish phrontman Trey Anastasio (see my previous post to explain my frustrating past with Phish and Trey). Last night’s Toronto show at The Hummingbird Centre was amazing from the first note of the opening act to the final flurry of notes on Trey’s guitar. The crowd, the venue, the sound, the music, the vibe were all phantastic. Definitely one of the best show’s I’ve ever seen (and they played a couple of Phish songs!). Below, you’ll find three videos I took during the show. Sorry, my pics didn’t turn out that well and the videos are kinda shaky because the guy beside me kept bumping into me.
Man, if you get guys bumping into you at concert, you have to throw down! Less talking, fewer complaints, more smack.
Thanks for the tasty vids!
What an amazing show that was. Right from the opening Sand to the end! Trey is definately back in fine form.
Thanks for the flashback. I have seen quite a few great phish shows(New Years MSG 98′, Vegas 99′, Centrum run in 98, complete island tour 98, Hampton 97′)and I gotta say the intensity was fully there. I have had a lack of interest since 2000, and when the band split the second time I had lost all interest. Trey’s solo efforts are good but it never had the same intensity. I was living of of old recordings. This show brought back that head that would travel for days to see a couple of hours of amazing jams.
Oh yeah…..is there any way I could get a copy of the second clip? If not thats cool too…I’ll just keep coming back to your blog. Thanks again.
